How to make a stand for flowers?
The product we make is not an ordinary shelf for flowers. With our own hands, we will build a multi-tiered structure that can accommodate all the flower pots that were previously located on window sills and furniture.
On such a shelf, indoor plants will always be at hand, and this will help you more closely monitor their growth and development. The product will consist of a floor platform containing 4 shelves and 4 legs, which are attached to the base using chrome racks.
With our own hands with the help of some building materials and tools we will manufacture a special design for flowers. We will need:
- 4 legs for furniture;
- putty for wood;
- screws and screws;
- 5 bolts;
- auto enamel in a can;
- 5 threaded sleeves;
- drill and screwdriver;
- plywood, impregnated with water-repellent agents (15 mm thick);
- flange under the pipe;
- chrome tubes (diameter 25 mm, total length 510 cm);
- metal files;
- furniture edge;
- jigsaw, designed for curved cutting.
It is necessary to mark the shelves on a plywood sheet. For this you can use the finished drawing with the image of a shelf under the flowers. After we cut out the details with a jigsaw and immediately proceed to grinding the saw cuts.
The pipe supports are being assembled, which the shelf for flowers requires. You have to cut 5 tubes with your own hands, one of which is 60 cm long, the other 90 cm, and 3 tubes of 120 cm each. You can cut the metal with a pipe cutter or saw. However, the pipe cutter, in contrast to the file, leaves the smooth edges of the pipes.
The shelf is assembled from finished parts. At first it is necessary to fasten on the lower platform of the rack, put the flanges on them and fasten with screws to the base of the structure. We also fix the subsequent tiers of the shelf for flowers. The distance between the tiers should be about 0.3 m.
The final stage
After completing all the work with the design, attach the wheels (furniture supports) to the lower platform. In this manufacture of the shelf has come to an end. Thanks to suitable materials, tools and skillful hands, you have worked on durability, quality and design, which requires a shelf for flowers. With your own hands, you have created a unique masterpiece!
