Cha-cha dance originated, as they say knowledgeable people in Cuba. The talented local composer Enrico Horrin created such a cheerful, playful and easy-to-remember dance for those who like to dance passionately in a pair. The melody appeared not immediately, but during the constant experiments of the composer. Mambo-rumba first appeared, and based on it cha-cha-cha. The name “Cha-cha-cha” appeared also because the dancers made additional sounds with their feet when dancing (following the accompaniment of the usual maracas), which were similar to the sound of “cha-cha-cha”
