"New" how to spell?

In this article we will look at the word "new." How do you spell it? Basically, it is often recorded either separately or through a hyphen. But how is it right to write it?

“By new” can be an adjective with a preposition, then it is written separately: “by a new road” (which road is it? - by a new one). It is written separately, since prepositions in Russian are written with the majority of words in this way.

"New" can also be an adverb: "Do work on a new one." How is it written in this case? Do not confuse this word with the word "new way." The fact is that in Russian, adverbs are written with a hyphen, formed with the help of the prefix "in" and the following suffixes: him, ohm, ski, tski, yi. The word "new" does not fit this rule, so we write it separately.

We have come to the conclusion that the word "new" in any case is written separately, regardless of the meaning.
