Niagara's group - history and features of creativity
Niagara is a band from France. It's about the duo of Daniel Chenevier and Muriel Moreno. Its founders met in 1982. Muriel studied in Rennes the history of art. Daniel played in various groups on keyboard instruments.
In the beginning, the duo created a project called "Yellowshadow "(L'Ombre jaune). This team united Daniel, who played the keys, Jose Tamarin, who was in charge of the guitar, and Muriel, who took the vocalist's place and took the pseudonym of Moreno. Soon the band gave the first concert. Muriel simultaneously managed to work as a DJ and receive a Master of Arts degree. In 1984, the team changed its name. Thus the group "Niagara" appeared. The team took part in a special competition. It was organized by the Ministry of Culture in Rennes. His goal was to identify young promising teams.
The Niagara Group signedcontract with the company Polydor. In 1985, the band recorded their first single titled Tchiki Boum. This work soon made the team popular. Soon Jose Tamarin left the band, and the Niagara band became a duet. In 1986, the musicians recorded the next single called L'amour à la plage.
Conquest of the capital
The group "Niagara" moved to Paris. It was there that the first album, Encore un dernier baiser, was released. This work is a mixture of funk, Afro-Cuban rhythms, jazz and sensual vocals Muriel. In 1987 the band played a concert in Olympia. Soon the team made the first tour of the territory of France. In 1988 the team released a new album called Quel enfer. It has a more fatal sound. In 1990, a new album, called Religion, was released. After that, the collective resumed its concert activity. At the same time, musicians are becoming stars of European MTV. Since this moment, their clips are beginning to actively show on television, even Soviet. In this period there are problems. They are related to the fact that Muriel understands that he can not work and live at such a pace. In 1992 the musicians returned to the studio work and released the last album called La vérité. After that, they again begin the tour of the European countries. On the tour in Sweden, the vocalist Muriel has an aphonia. This leads to the cancellation of the tour.
