At home, fruits can be obtained not only with lemon, kiwi or pomegranate, but also this small shrub from the subfamily apple. Its fruits are appreciated by a high content of vitamin C, besides they are very tasty. The Mexican loquat is widely spread on the territory of Western Europe, Algeria and many other states. Judging by the name, we can assume that the plant comes from Japan, but it is not. The tree has only been spread there, and its real home is China.

In winter it is often not necessary to water the plant, but to prevent moisture from evaporating, it is necessary to cover the soil with moss.
