Iodine is the most important microelement that is not produced in the body, but comes from the outside only, along with food.
The International Health Organization (WHO)published data according to which virtually the entire population of Russia lives in areas that are characterized by iodine deficiency. Most Russians receive 2-3 times less iodine daily than necessary. And pregnant and lactating women of this trace element require almost twice as much as in the usual state.
To avoid negative consequences due toiodine deficiency, it is necessary to replenish its content in the body with the help of medications. Some of the most popular today are Jodomarin-100 and Jodomarin-200 (available in two forms: 100 tablets and 200 micrograms each). This form helps to choose an individual dosage taking into account the degree of the organism's need for the element. Tablets are almost white, flat-cylindrical, round, with one-sided risk and facet. Yodomarin is sold in cardboard packs of 2 or 4 blisters (25 tablets in each).
The drug containing 100 mcg is usually prescribed for prophylactic purposes.
Iodomarin-200 is usually prescribed by schedulingpregnancy or already waiting for babies women. It is impossible to get 200 mcg of iodine from food, so this amount of a trace element can be compensated only by taking medicines.
The tablets "Jodomarin-200" contains iodidepotassium, which activates metabolic processes, which play an essential role in the development of the child. The drug also contains auxiliary substances: magnesium carbonate, gelatin, lactose monohydrate, carboxymethyl starch, silicon dioxide colloid, sodium salt (type A), magnesium stearate.
This drug regulatesactivity of the nervous and cardiovascular systems, as well as the functioning of the thyroid gland. Thyroid hormones provide the fulfillment of many important functions: they control the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and proteins, and also replenish energy in the body. They are responsible for the work of the brain, heart, nervous system, sex glands, ensure the normal development of children (starting from the intrauterine state).
Due to lack of iodine, the child may have birth defects. Therefore, Iodomarin-200 during pregnancy is the most optimal option for replenishing iodine in the body.
Absorption of the drug is complete and fast enough. It is actively absorbed by the thyroid gland. It also accumulates in lactating dairy and salivary glands, stomach tissues.
During pregnancy and during the feeding period forthe intake of such an extremely necessary trace element in the body requires maintaining the regularity of replenishing iodine: drink one tablet of the drug daily.
Drink iodomarin-200 instruction recommends forprevention of endemic goiter, euthyroid diffuse goiter in the mother and child. Dosage intake should not deviate from 200 mcg either to a smaller or larger side, since excess iodine can be as harmful to the baby as its deficiency. Independently regulate the daily dose of the drug is unacceptable.
Contraindications for use are:
- too high sensitivity to microelement,
- adenoma (toxic) of the thyroid gland,
- nodal goiter,
- herpetiform dermatitis.
Do not take the drug for hypothyroidism, therapy with radioactive iodine, cancer (or suspected of it) of the thyroid gland.
Iodomarin-200 does not affect the ability to drive vehicles, so it can be taken by drivers and everyone whose work is related to the management of any other mechanisms.
Allergic reactions to the drug are observedrarely. In case of an overdose it is possible to stain mucous in brown, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, sometimes - development of shock and dehydration, the phenomenon of "iodism", stenosis of the esophagus. In this case, the reception should be canceled, rinse the stomach with a solution of starch. In severe cases, therapy is prescribed.
