The incident occurred on February 3. The pensioner was detained in one of the supermarkets of the Magnit chain, suspecting that she had stolen butter. Later it turned out that the detainee was a blockade and a member of the public organization "Residents of Siege Leningrad." The chairman of this association said that the deceased pensioner regularly paid membership dues. Emma Leshina noted that an elderly woman had to be sent to a medical examination, and not to the police.
The editors of uznayvse.ru want to add that Sergei Galitsky, general director and co-owner of the Magnit network, also expressed the view that it was not worth calling the police, given the age of the woman.
