Sweet and sour sauce
- Sugar 2/4 cup
- Apple vinegar or wine ¼ cup
- ¾ cup water
- 2/4 cup soy sauce
- Ketchup 2st. spoons
- Starch 2 tbsp. spoons (you can use flour)
We take a small saucepan and dilute the starch in water, then add sugar, vinegar, soy sauce and ketchup into it, stirring well. Then put the pot on the fire, and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, the sauce should thicken a little.
- Sweet apples (400-500 grams)
- Sugar (80-100 grams)
- Lemon 1 pc. (or 1 tbsp. citric acid)
- Starch 1 tbsp. spoon (or wheat flour)
- Water (500-600 mg)
- Condiments (eg clove and cinnamon)
Peel the apples and pith, then cut them into small pieces and pour 2/3 of the water, put on the stove and bring to readiness. Then the resulting mass grind puree with a mixer or grater. In the resulting puree add sugar and the remnants of water mixed with starch, as well as spices (if you wish), bring everything to a boil. The sauce is perfect for baking, porridge, casseroles.
Berry and Sour Cream Sauce
It is possible to use both one kind of berries, and their mix.
- Berries (raspberries, strawberries, currants, etc.) - 300 gr.
- Sugar 150 gr.
- Sour cream (medium density) 600 ml
Grind berries, previously peeled from the stalks. Mix sour cream with sugar. Mix thoroughly, add chopped berries, serve the sauce cold and store in the refrigerator (not in the freezer).
Berry Wine Sauce
- Berries 300 gr.
- Sugar 150 gr.
- Wine (taste) 50 ml
- Water 150 ml
Chop the berries off the stem (chop through a sieve, or another convenient option).Boil the sugar syrup by mixing the sugar with water, after the sugar has melted, pour the wine into the mixture, add the mashed potatoes obtained from the berries and mix everything thoroughly until boiling. The sauce can be served both hot and cold.
- Orange juice 5 oranges (can be replaced with the usual, but from freshly squeezed tastier)
- Honey (you can substitute sugar)
- Seasonings optional
Pour juice from oranges into a small saucepan, add honey, and bring to a boil. Boil until the formation of the average thickness of the sauce (evaporating moisture) is constantly stirring. The temperature of the sauce depends on the dish it is being seasoned.
