Does it make sense to make a deposit?
All good! I need advice, I got a certain amount of money from my parents, about 50 thousand hryvnia. Thinking how best to dispose of them. Nothing adequate in terms of investment, it seems to me, cannot be found. I think maybe put them on deposit? And which bank is better then?

I like the option of investing in precious metals. But this, if I may say so, is a long-term investment for children, for example, start-up capital.

50 thousand - the amount does not say that it is very large, but not small. A deposit is a relatively safe source of income, but even here it is necessary to check not only the rates, but also the reliability of the bank, at least by reviews. No need to be conducted on a beautiful advertisement and invest in dubious banks at tempting high rates. Here you can see the options

I would just have translated into dollars. On the deposit, even with the steepest interest rate, the money will depreciate, no matter how sad it may sound ...

Given the current political and economic environment, I would not convert the hryvnia into dollars, and even more so I would not put money on deposit. No bank today can not be considered reliable, and inflation will devour everything. I agree with Bazhena, it is better to invest in gold.
